Times. Michael was a successful web site designer and IT contractor who
has now added the writing, radio and TV skills acquired from an MA Multi-Media
Journalism degree to his portfolio. He is actively seeking to combine
his creative and technical skills in a varied and interesting role within
an exciting journalistic project, which will also offer further opportunities
for personal development. Flexible on location for the right role.

| The Independent - a month on the Foreign desk, publishing four
stories including a European
page lead. Also assisted with research, monitoring wires and contributed
ideas, including one which subsequently led to the paper's Asia correspondent
travelling to Bangladesh to follow up my leads. |

newspaper's website. Published articles include features on Colombia's
Ciudad Perdida and where
to travel safely. Also assisted with the judging of the Guardian Travel
Awards, researching and writing online content, uploading and contributing

Sunday Times (Scotland) - Ecosse section. Credits include
features previewing the arrival of Evan Dando and Beck
before concerts, restaurant reviews and a variety of other

Radio Forth - Radio Journalist at Edinburgh's leading
commercial station. Out and about the city interviewing those
making the day's news. Also involved in researching and editing
material for broadcast.

understanding legal aspects.

and Australia for a total of more than three years. He has also
previously worked as a self-employed IT contractor for over three
years.
He now seeks to combine his existing knowledge, skills and experience
with those acquired in the Masters degree to launch a career in
